For Photographers

Below is a list of gear and other photography related products I use while traveling around the world.

Olympus Micro 4/3 system

I dragged my feet on switching from DLSR to the 4/3 system. I only became convinced when one of my friends took it on a 3 week hike up Denali and her pictures were stunning. See her photo’s HERE.  Now I’m wondering why I didn’t switch earlier!

Olympus OM-D-E-M1 body – See my review HERE.

Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO – By far my favorite lens!  See my 1st pictures HERE.

Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO – Perfect length for everyday photography.

SanDisk Extreme 16GB – I have 2 of these.  SanDisk is one of the leaders in memory and have not let me down.

Underwater housing for my Olympus is expense and bulky. I wanted something small and lightweight for my travels. I love the GoPro! It’s been great for underwater photographs, video and also the occasional selfie 😉

GoPro HERO4 – Love my GoPro!  This version has a live viewfinder which makes it great to see video as it’s recording and have instant playback.

GoScope Clutch – Short enough to not get in the way, yet long enough for selfies and underwater adventures.

SanDisk Extreme 64GB UHS-I/U3 – The best for video recording!

Macbook Air 11in – The best purchase I made before I left! A little bigger than a tablet, super fast and lightweight.

Logitech Wireless Travel Mouse – Love the size and fits in my sleeve for easy storage.

Western Digital My Passport for mac 1 TB – I keep all my photos on here and it’s compact and light to go anywhere.

Creative Cloud – Low monthly subscription to use the most up to date version of Photoshop and Lightroom ($9.99/mo as of July 2016)

Smugmug – Website to host all your images, showcase and sell them.

Gear Storage and Portable Safe

Pacsafe Camsafe Venture 12 – The perfect sling bag to carry my computer and camera gear.  See my review HERE.

Pacsafe Venturesafe 45L GII Backpack – I chose this backpack over the osprey to store my gear, see why HERE.

PacSafe Travelsafe 5L GII – I use this to store my camera and lenses when I don’t want to take them with me.
