In March of 2015, I left Seattle to go on an epic trip round the world to explore everything the world has to offer. What started out as a 12- month career break has turned into over two years of fun adventures meeting amazing people along the way.
A passionate photographer, I started out with a Canon AE-1 when I was 16 years old, and it never left my side. I loved spending all my extra time in the darkroom. I would be in there for hours just to produce the perfect print. I ran a wedding photography business for four years in San Diego from 2002 – 2006 shooting over 125 weddings. I also did some freelance work when I moved to Seattle in 2006. Photography is my passion, and I’m grateful I’ve been able to travel and see the world for all its beauty capturing moments through my camera’s eye.
When I first left Seattle to travel, I only took my 45L backpack and Olympus OM-D E-M1. Along the way, I also picked up scuba diving and became a PADI OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor). So my travel companions have expanded to now include an 85L scuba gear bag. This is not so easy to travel with, so I travel slow, staying in each country for 2-6 weeks at a time. I love slow travel as it allows me to really immerse myself in the country and culture of each place I visit.
Thank you for stopping by my blog, I’m excited to share my adventures with you! If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me, I love hearing from my readers!
